Congratulations to our graduating seniors, Eliza Hillenkamp and Ouyanatu Maina!

Eliza submitted a thesis titled “BRIDGE-ing the Intermediate-Mass Black Hole Gap: Analysis of a Candidate Wandering Black Hole in a Dwarf Galaxy,” in which she searched for gas emission features that would indicate the presence of a “wandering” (non-central) black hole in a nearby dwarf galaxy.

Ouyanatu worked on comparing measurements from integral field spectroscopy with measurements of resolved stars in nearby galaxies.
