Interested in joining the BOBA Lab?

I typically accept new students into the lab each summer, through either the Amherst College Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship Program or the Five College Astronomy Internship Program.
Many students continue to do research with me during the school year as Greg S. Call Academic Interns or as part of an independent study course, and some of these projects culminate in a senior honors thesis.
I accept PhD students into my lab through the UMass Astronomy PhD program. I am happy to meet with admitted/current PhD students to discuss research opportunities in my lab, including potential initial research projects (for first- and second-year students) and thesis projects.
Opportunities are subject to funding. While all open jobs will be posted on the AAS job register, please don't hesitate to reach out if you have available funding and are looking for a project!
